Kimono Fever

So I have this obsession. And it's with kimonos. Especially tie dye fridge kimonos. I strongly believe I was born in the wrong decade and these drapey babies instantly take me to the summer of love. It's something about the loose and luxurious feel that screams sensual groovy goddess to me and I dig it.

Start Me Up

My morning routine is crucial to my day. And since we've moved I've had a hard time implementing my beloved rising practices. But today I finally got a chance to start my morning the way I like.. with a serene yoga sesh, a grounding meditation, a blissful outlook, and an open gateway to creativity. 

Yoga is creative movement, and I feel best when I allow my practice to guide me. I listen to my body, dive into the present moment, and freely move wherever my heart desires. It's these precious moments, where my mind, body, and soul sync up to create art that I feel I am expressing my true self. It's liberating and empowering yet grounding and humbling. 

I love to complete my practice with a short meditation. I am still learning to dive inward, so I use a guided meditation to help me fine stillness. This is the one I listened to this morning. Ounce I've got my mind right and body is feeling refreshed, my soul starts to shine through. I'm instantly happier, eager for fun, and enjoy the simple things like making breakfast, brushing my teeth and getting ready. Being the creative being that I am, its probably no surprise that I LOVE creating outfits. My style allows me to express myself. And each day brings a new element to the table. So here's today mood! After listening to Stevie Nicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Rolling Stones Pandora, I decided it was a slashed leggings and oversized sweater kind if a day. 

Here's a glimpse of some of the details. Pardon the angle, I tried to make due on my lunch break! 

With such a beautiful day outside, it's hard to not have a wonderful day. But I know that my morning regime allowed me to open up today's wonder with welcoming arms and gratitude. 

And for that I am thankful. And still ready for action. Cuz' once I start I'll never stop ;)

Today is the day! Our Heart On Her Sleeve Editorial Shoot by Let's Folic Together was released on Fab You Bliss! 

There were many inspirations & ideas envisioned for this shoot. It was truly a beautiful thing to see them all blossom into something unique & special. A bit vintage and slightly alternative, this modern wedding shoot is anything but ordinary. It has a melancholic vibe with an essence that's romantically enchanting. The feel is wedding-esque, yet subtly fashion forward. This was creativity at its finest-- pulling elements from various inspirations and creating something not entirely reminiscent of those sources, but something on its own.

We are very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with these incredible souls.

Ashtanga primary series. Since I moved from my beloved yoga studio...I've been lacking a consistent practice. Ashtanga is meant for home practice. You are holding each pose for a total of 5 deeeeep breaths. I had trouble knowing how long to hold a pose and what sequence to flow with, so this has been a nice treat!

We received some goodies today from @kellysearle of #Liner #magazine! It's such an honor to be apart of their very first issue. Right before we met Kelly, Alyssa and I were just talking about trusting the universe and riding the waves of life with confidence and ease. I went on and on about how the time we have now is a gift and we can use it to do all the things we've always wanted to do. One of those things being creative pursuits, like booking photo shoots and getting back into the flow of creative collaborations. And the next thing you know, Kelly appears like an artistic goddess and pops the question.. So here's to following your heart and trusting your instincts. Because even when things may seem as if they're not all put together the way you think they should be, there is still a little voice inside telling you that everything will be okay and that all your dreams are falling into place. And that they will be here before you know it. So just take it one step at a time. Be patient. Be present. And trust in yourself.
